Riding Techniques Left Turn at Roundabout You are on your own, there is no traffic at any of the entries/exits and there is no traffic at your rear. Make
the most of the road that is available - you've paid for it so use it!
This line lessens the severity of the "corner" and positions you further away from the most dangerous area of a (left hand drive) roundabout - the outer edge where centrifugal diesel spills are most likely. |

Straight-Lining a Roundabout You are
on your own, there is no traffic at any of the entries/exits and there
is no traffic at your rear. Straight-line the roundabout as much as you can. This lessens the severity of the usual zig zag route and speeds up your progress. Obviously you must ensure that there is nobody at or near your right shoulder wishing to join you on the roundabout as you will cut across their path! |
